Donald Glover has given fans a new update about the future of his rapping alter ego "Childish Gambino."

The actor-rapper has been dropping scattered hints about his next musical project for the past few months. On Sunday, April 14, he made a rare appearance on X, formerly known as Twitter, and revealed a surprise livestream of GILGA Radio. After he promoted the stream, a fan asked if he planned to play new music. Not only did he confirm the new music, but he also declared that the rollout for his next album has officially started.

“of course," Glover replied to the fan. "its a rollout dummy.”

During an interview on the livestream, Glover shared his plans to mix and master his infamous 3.15.20 album and rerelease it as a fresh project called Atavista. He said Atavista was the original name of the album, however, he intentionally released the project without a title during the pandemic. The original version of the album features collaborations with Ariana Grande, 21 Savage, Ink and Kahdja Bonet and will have updated song titles in lieu of numbers like "35.31," which will be known as “Little Foot, Big Foot." Glover confirmed the music video for the newly-titled record, which is directed by Hiro Murai, will drop in a few weeks. Elsewhere in the interview, 'Bino also confirmed the plans for his final album.

Glover announced that he's working on a new film called Bando Stone in the New World. He also revealed his final album will serve as the film's soundtrack. He didn't confirm a release date for the film and soundtrack. The news about Glover's last two albums comes a few months after he teased his next LP during a brief run-in with TMZ back in December. He was pretty tight-lipped about the album's details, but he did say it is coming "soon."
